TCT offers magnetic cores with finishing stages adapted to your needs
- NAKED: Magnetic cores can be naked, it means wound without any finishing stage.
- FIXING: Magnetic cores can be fixed with paint for an antioxidant protection and mechanical protection during handling and transport.
- IMPREGNATION: Magnetic cores can be varnish impregnated. Several options are available: either vacuum impregnation more adapted and recommended to cut the core; or an impregnation by dipping for a good protection and to reduce mechanical and magnetic stresses on the core.
- CUT: Magnetic cores can be cut. Partial or complete air gaps are made for Hall-effect transformers and a complete cut of the core allows the realization of C or E shaped cut cores. The finish of the cut can be raw, polished, surfaced or grinded, depending on the desired accuracy required.
- TAPING: Magnetic cores can be taped to ensure insulation and for a better mechanical protection and space saving. Different materials are available up to class H; they all meet the needs of insulation and temperature resistance.
- COATING: Magnetic cores can be epoxy coated for a better mechanical and anti-oxidation protection. It also protects the angles to allow direct winding on the core and save space. This protection enables to respect the strictest isolation class, i.e. class H and to resist to temperatures up to 180°C (356°F).
- HOUSING: Magnetic cores can be encapsulated for a mechanical protection and an excellent electrical isolation.
- OVER MOULDING: Electromagnetic components can be overmoulded using specific resins that guarantee low partial discharge levels and high dielectric strength.
- CO-WINDING: Magnetic cores and electromagnetic components can be co-wound. The winding of the raw material (iron-nickel, iron-silicon, iron-cobalt and nanocrystalline) can be combined with another material such as copper strip or insulation tape.
- SHIELDING: Magnetic cores and electromagnetic components can be shielded to provide protection against external interferences.
- HEAT TREATMENT AND ISOLATION: Magnetic cores are heat-treated, with or without a magnetic field, under hydrogen or nitrogen up to 1200°C (2192°F).
- TESTS AND CHECKS: Cores and components are subject to unitary or partial inspection, as per your requirement. The tests results are automatically recorded and computerized. Dimensional, electrical, dielectric, partial discharge and pulse tests can be run.
